The questions we hear most often.
If yours isn't here, write to us. We answer everything personally.
A small start, then a clear quote.
The $25 USD starting point is for straightforward smaller tattoos. If a project needs deeper design work or a harder artist search, we quote it before you commit.
Best for a simple small tattoo when you already have a clear subject, placement, and references. Includes a practical read on size, placement, style direction, and what to clarify before booking.
Best when the idea is clear and you need one to three realistic artist recommendations. Includes one revised shortlist if the first recommendations are not a fit. We consider style, city, travel, budget, placement, and artist availability signals.
Best when the drawing itself still needs work. Small refinements may stay near the starting price; original artwork, multiple concepts, or detailed revision rounds are scoped before any deposit is due.
Best when you need the idea shaped first and the finished design matched to the right hand. We quote the design work first, then match once the direction is clear.
- larger scale or multiple placements
- fine detail, realism, color, lettering, or symmetry-heavy work
- cover-ups, reworks, scars, or difficult existing tattoos
- multiple concepts, loose briefs, or heavy reference synthesis
- rush timelines or narrow travel/geography constraints
- extra revision rounds beyond the agreed scope
Artist tattooing fees are separate and paid directly to the artist or studio. Custom design deposits, included revision rounds, refund windows, and any additional revision fees are confirmed in writing before paid work begins.
The basics.
We are a design studio and matching service. You tell us what you have in mind. We either design the piece for you, recommend the right artist, or both. We do not own a tattoo studio — we work with a private network of artists across the United States.
Straightforward smaller tattoo projects can start at $25 USD. Larger custom design, harder matching work, cover-ups, rush timelines, or multiple revision rounds are quoted after intake before you commit. The artist's tattooing fee is separate, set by them, and quoted before you book.
Custom design takes about two to three weeks, including revisions. Matching takes two working days for the shortlist; the artist's own waitlist varies.
Custom design, yes — fully remote. Matching is currently focused on the United States, but we accept select projects further afield.
On custom design.
That's normal. The first conversation exists to find the shape of the idea. Many of our best pieces started from a single feeling and a colour.
We won't copy another artist's work. We will absolutely design something inspired by an aesthetic, era, or motif you love.
You do. Once delivered, the design is yours. We keep an archive copy on file in case you ever lose it.
On artist matching.
Yes. Many clients come to us with a design they love and need the right hand to execute it.
No. We charge our clients directly so the recommendation stays honest. The artist sees you as a referral, not a paid lead.
